Announcements
    Getting To Camp - Where Do I Go?
    Coming in to the Park.  Stop at the gate and tell the gate keeper you are with Girl Scouts.  They will give you a pass - this pass is good for the entire week.
Please watch your speed while driving in camp - Speed limits are enforced, and we have many children walking.  Cones are set up to limit traffic, please do not go around the cones.  The roads are paved, so it is tempting to drive fast, however, please keep to the posted speeds.
  • Site Volunteers (adults working at Site 3) are pre-approved to drive to their sites and park there after checking in.
  • Unit Guides (adults supervising a unit of Girl Scouts or siblings) should park in the Daily Volunteer parking lot by Site 2
  • Everyone else - check in at Site 5/Camp Headquarters
  • Few helpful reminders:  If you hear of anyone not having a lunch or enough to eat, please come to HQ - we have a limited supply of sandwich fixin's to get through the day.
  • Picking your children up early: If you have to get your child early, you will need to check in at HQ and we will find and bring your child to HQ.  Please bring ID so that we can confirm that you are authorized. Do NOT drive around camp looking for your child.  Unit Leadership WILL NOT release your child from the site.
  • Closing ceremony tonight will honor our Service Unit's Bronze, Silver and Gold Award recipients.
  • There will be a SPECIAL performance tonight at closing ceremony.  The performance will start around 7:10pm and promises to be fun and enjoyable!  BRING YOUR CAMERAS!
  • Reminder - only close toed shoes at camp.  Sturdy tennis shoes preferred - the girls walk a lot and there are bees and sand wasps and other critters at camp.  We want to protect everyone.

Parents/Babysitters/Nannies/Guardians


It happens every year...you're running late so you ask your sitter/spouse/partner/older child to swing by camp and pick up your child. They pull into camp at 7:30, see the child standing by her friends, tell her to hop in, and take off...and she leaves without signing out.

 

Unfortunately, we don't know she got picked up...and our assumption is that she's still camp. While we frantically call your mobile phone to confirm where she is, the older girls begin scouring the woods and the adults head to the beach to begin an underwater grid search looking for a submerged swimmer. Meanwhile we alert Carver County Fire and Rescue, Three Rivers Parks spins up their helicopter, and the County Sheriff
