What to Bring to Camp
What to Bring to Camp
Everything should fit in a backpack you can carry on your own.
Brown bag dinner (every day)
Reusable water bottle (required)
Swimsuit (wear under clothes) + towel + change of underwear
Camp T-shirt (she’ll receive it on Monday)
Closed-toe shoes with socks (we walk a lot)
Sunscreen & bug spray (applied at home)
Rain gear (camp is rain or shine)
Optional: Jacket/hoodie, sit-upon, hat, sunglasses
Please do not bring electronics, toys, flip-flops, or cash. Phones should remain packed and powered off - campers who need assistance should let their Caddies know, who will have Headquarters contact parents and caregivers.

Carver County Parks requires a separate waiver for all youth participating in Atlatl Throwing at Twilight Camp. Please complete the online waiver by July 13.

Drop-off Parking: Use the large gravel lot in front of Headquarters (main shelter).
Campers: Check in at the Ceremony Circle. Look for her Unit number sign.
Volunteers: Sign in your Girl Scout campers first, then head to Headquarters to check in.
Sign Out: Campers must be signed out at the Ceremony Circle following the Closing Flag Ceremony.

Late Arrival: Check in at Headquarters (main shelter) and we’ll escort her to her Unit.
Early Departure: Let your Caddies know during check-in so they can plan to bring her Headquarters at the right time.

Health, Medication, Camp Policies
Scheduled Medications: Bring prescription medications that need to be taken during camp to the First Aid station. Caddies will escort campers when it’s time for their medication.
Emergency/As-Needed Medications: Turn in inhalers, EpiPens, or other PRN medications to the Unit Caddies at check-in. They’ll be carried with the unit in a readily accessible container. If your camper normally carries her own inhaler or similar medication, that’s fine—just let the Caddies know.
Camper Behavior: Campers are expected to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law by treating others with kindness, respect, and helpfulness. If a camper is unable to meet these expectations, we may ask for early pick-up or limit participation in camp activities.
Weather: Camp is held rain or shine! We continue normal activities during rain and seek shelter during brief storms. If severe weather develops, we’ll contact all families with early dismissal instructions.
Illness: Please do not send your child to camp if they’re feeling unwell. We’ll call for pickup if symptoms develop during camp. We encourage families to perform a daily health check and follow current healthcare provider recommendations.
Sign-Out: A parent, caregiver, or other authorized adult must sign out each camper at pick-up. Please share this information with anyone who may be picking up your camper.

We'll spend each day in one of the themed Program Sites (picnic shelters). We'll do crafts and games, outdoor activities, and swim each day.
1:45 pm Camper Check-In at the Ceremony Circle
2:00 pm Opening Flag Ceremony, Announcements
2:15 pm Program Site, Activities for the Day
7:15 pm Closing Ceremonies (families welcome)
7:45 pm Sign out and Camper pick-up.

Girls spend a day in each of the four program sites (picnic shelters):
SITE 2 | Emerald Isle | Craft a Celtic knot, pull the Sword in the Stone, and hunt for leprechaun geocaches.
SITE 3 | Mount Olympus | Build a labyrinth, design a hero's shield, and taste ambrosia.
SITE 4 | Valley of the Queens | Write your name in a cartouche, sample basbousa, and conquer the Trials of Anubis.
SITE 5 | Mesoamerica | Launch an atlatl, create a llama craft, and discover the mysteries of Sun Stones.
