In the Fantasy site we had an amazing day filled with a variety of fun activities. We started with a delicious snack of Honey Biscuits inspired by Winnie the Pooh. Then, we got creative by making Painted Bead Camp Necklaces, channeling our inner Percy Jackson. For some physical activity, we enjoyed an exciting jousting session reminiscent of King Arthur’s times. Finally, we wrapped up our day with a magical Potions Class, just like in Harry Potter, making play slime to take home.

SNACK: Winnie the Pooh Grilled Honey Biscuits
Ingredients:
Buttermilk biscuits
Honey
Nonstick spray
Tin foil
Instructions:
Flatten out a buttermilk biscuit and drizzle honey in the center.
Roll up the biscuit, sealing the edges to prevent the honey from escaping.
Spray a square of tin foil with nonstick spray and wrap the biscuit in it.
Grill the wrapped biscuit for 5 minutes on each side.
Unwrap and enjoy!

Site 4 | Mysteries
In the Mysteries site we kicked things off with a Mystery Tea Party, inspired by Elona Holmes, which set the tone for our adventure. Our craft activity involved making Morse Code Keychains, just like the clever agents in City Spies. For our physical activity, we embarked on an exciting Geocache Course, channeling our inner Nancy Drew. We wrapped up the day with a challenging Puzzle and Memory Game, inspired by Cam Jansen. It was a day full of mystery, creativity, and exploration!

SNACK: Tea Party Platter
Ingredients:
Salty - Pretzel crisps, crackers, chips, or similar
Sweet - Cookies, small pastries or similar
Healthy - Baby carrots, veggies, ranch dressing or dip
Drink (mixed from powder)
Instructions:
Follow the drink mix instructions to prepare
Chill until ready to serve.
On a large platter, arrange the salty/crunchy snacks in in separate sections.
Add the cookies to the platter
Add the veggies to the platter
Keep any gluten-free or similar options separate for easy identification.
Place the platter in the center of the table for guests to enjoy.
Serve the chilled drink glasses or a pitcher alongside the snack platter.

The Adventure site was packed with excitement and creativity. We cooled off with refreshing Snow Cones, inspired by Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Our artistic side shone through as we crafted Garden Globes, inspired by The Secret Garden and the Wind in the Willows. We had an exhilarating archery session, reminiscent of The Hunger Games. To top it all off, we delved into STEM with a fun Brush Bots activity, inspired by The Borrowers. It was a fantastic day filled with diverse and engaging activities!

SNACK: Snow Cones
Ingredients:
Ice cubes
Flavored syrup (store-bought or homemade)
Optional toppings (e.g., fruit slices, sprinkles)
Instructions:
Crush the ice, using a blender or by placing in a ziplock bag
Crush until the cubes are fine and fluffy
Fill a cup with the crushed ice.
Drizzle the flavored syrup over the ice.
Add any optional toppings you like
Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing snow cone!

Site 5 | History
In the History site we journeyed through time with a variety of engaging activities. Our craft session had us building Airplanes, paying homage to the pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart. We then had a snack of Johnny Cakes and made Corn Husk Dolls, inspired by Little House on the Prairie.. For physical activity, we tackled an Obstacle Course, drawing inspiration from the Underground Railroad, Oregon Trail, and I Survived series. We concluded our day with a thrilling STEM activity, launching Water Rockets, inspired by Hidden Figures, Sally Ride, and I Survived. It was a day rich with historical exploration and hands-on fun!

Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups boiling water
Oil or shortening (to grease pan)
Instructions:
Mix Ingredients: Combine cornmeal, sugar, and salt.
Gradually add boiling water, stirring until smooth.
Grease a skillet with oil or shortening.
Drop spoonfuls of batter, cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Pie Iron Alternative: Grease pie irons instead of a skillet, and cook over a campfire for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally
